We are a bar and café in the center of Sarria with over 35 years of history. We began offering early-bird breakfasts and freshly brewed coffee, and today we are also a gastronomic space where you can enjoy homemade burgers, sharing portions, and flavors from around the world, not to mention our sweet snacks and pastries.
At Café Bar Cubano, locals, pilgrims, and travelers find a welcoming atmosphere, a comfortable terrace, and a menu designed for every moment of the day.
Due to our location, we have always been a stopover for pilgrims. Today we continue that tradition, serving breakfast from early morning and offering a comfortable space to rest before continuing the Camino.

1986 – The origin of the name
This date marks the true beginning. The bar opened its doors for the first time in 1986, initiated by the current owner's father. The family nickname, born from the story of his grandfather who emigrated to Cuba and returned with his wife, inspired the name by which everyone would soon know it: El Cubano.
2012 – Generation change
The second generation takes over the family business. The restaurant is renovated, the image is modernized, and the focus is on enhancing the breakfast menu. A new era begins without losing the bar's welcoming spirit.
2015 – A step forward
The Cuban Café Bar strengthens its identity. It establishes itself as a go-to spot for hearty breakfasts and quality coffees. The clientele grows, and the atmosphere transforms into a popular meeting point for locals and pilgrims.
2023 – Gastronomic Evolution
The big change is here. Café Bar Cubano expands its culinary offering, incorporating tapas, gourmet burgers, and flavors from around the world. The spirit of the bar remains, but with a revamped menu that positions it as a modern and versatile dining space.
